    When Hawksmoor first started they had a simple plan – to open the best steak restaurant in London.  Now 4 restaurants later, Hawksmoor is going from strength to strength and their ambition is fast coming true.  Prestige members were invited to try out the City branch in Basinghall Street on Monday 30th April.  A flight of stairs from the Grade II listed exterior leads down to a very stylish dining-room lined with glazed bricks from the Underground, wooden panelling and art deco light fittings.  The private dining-room where The PA Club event took place seats 22.  Read more...  

  • The work life of a PA Club Member

    The alarm kicks off at 5.30 and I tend to hit snooze a couple of times – depending on what I have lined up for that day. The initial thinking behind this (and it’s a positive recurring thought I have every night when I set my alarm – you know the one, when you feel you can take on the world… but perhaps not right at that very moment, you’ll simply reassess in the morning!) was to get up early and do 30 minutes of light exercise every morning (maybe a jog, maybe a few rounds on the punch bag) before 6.00 and then hit the shower.  Needless to say, I continue to embrace the saying “It’s the thought that counts” … so I’m consistent in one thing at least.
